The Queen Confirms David Cameron as the New UK Prime Minister

The Queen this evening asked Conservative leader David Cameron to form the country's new government effectively becoming the 12th UK prime minister under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

The resignation of the former Prime Minister Gordon Brown due to a failure to come to an agreement with the Liberal Democrats and paved the way for the change at the helms of the affairs of the country in a swift change in personnel.
The new Prime Minister David Cameron has made a statement at No. 10 Downing Street preparing the nation for the days ahead and also stating that he "intends to form a full coalition government with the Lib Dems". The nature of the coalition is still yet to be known and even it has not been known if the Lib Democrats would agree with a coalition.

For now that is how far the news has come but it will surely unfold within the next couple of days albeit hours.
